Captain Frank Wyant
Captain Frank Wyant started at the Caldwell Police Department in 1991. After working patrol and with the Tactical Response Team, he began the first K-9 program with his dog, Vigi. He worked as an SRO (School Resource Officer) before being promoted to Sergeant in 2001. Before being promoted to Captain in 2007, he served as a Lieutenant in the Investigations division for 5 years. In addition to his police work, Captain Wyant has been very involved in the community coaching baseball, girl’s fast-pitch softball and basketball. In 2007, he formed the Caldwell Chargers girl’s fast-pitch softball team to give local girls a chance to play on a competitive level. As of the current season, the program has grown to include three teams. Captain Wyant has been involved with the Caldwell Night Rodeo for many years serving as a director since 2003, and president for the 2008-2009 season. Growing up in San Diego, CA, Captain Wyant relocated to Caldwell after receiving a baseball scholarship to the College of Idaho. He often states that the city of Caldwell is very important to him, and that he takes pride in being part of and serving the community.
