Lieutenant Alan Seevers

Lieutenant Seevers was hired on August 1, 1987 after serving as a Reserve Police Officer for eight months. He worked as a patrol officer with additional duties as a firearms instructor and field training officer. He was selected as a member of the SWAT team in July of 1988.

Alan was promoted to Sergeant on May 31, 1992. As a sergeant, Alan served as a supervisor in patrol and was selected as the SWAT team commander in 1996.

He was promoted to Lieutenant on March 27, 2000 where he served as the commander of the Patrol Division.

Lieutenant Seevers was assigned to the Investigations Division in October of 2007. He is also the Range Master and continues to serve as the SWAT team commander. He lives in Caldwell and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.

The Investigation Division is broken into three teams:

We also have investigators assigned to these task forces:

  • City-County Narcotics Unit
  • Treasure Valley Violent Crimes Task Force
  • The School Resource Officer Unit is comprised of police officers that work in schools. They have roles as police officers, teachers, and counselors. They investigate crimes that happen in the schools and crimes that are committed by or against students.
  • The Criminal Investigations Unit is comprised of police officers who investigate homicides, assaults, sex crimes, crimes against children, check fraud, forgery, consumer fraud, and computer crimes.
  • The Street Crimes Unit is comprised of police officers that focus enforcement on street level drug traffickers, violent offenders, and criminal street gang members.
  • The Code Enforcement unit for the City of Caldwell has one Corporal and three community service officers who educate and enforce nuisance violations and other city ordinances.
