Airport

Welcome to the Caldwell Industiral Airport, our mission is to provide the best possible aviation opportunity at a reasonable cost for our customers and have a great time while doing it.

Caldwell Airport is a vibrant growing airport with almost unlimited grouth potential. Expanses of open ground and airspace lie to the North, South, and to the East therefore air navigation is relatively unconstrained. The massive new Sky Ranch Industrial park lies within 1/4 mile of the Caldwell Industrial Airport.

Caldwell is the jumping off spot to Idaho's back country strips in all directions, and is with in the same flight distance to Salt Lake, Reno, Portland, Seattle and Billings Montana.

History

In 1971 local aviation visionaries realized the potential and need for a new airport in the "Hub of the Northwest." An airport not surrounded by housing developments and obstructions. 460 acres of land was purchased alongside Interstate 84, and when the proposed off ramp is added this will give our airport accessibility second to none.

Amenities

  • A highly technically skilled work force is available and continues to grow to support the areas demand, with the unique Idaho lifestyles attracting skilled workers from all over the world.
  • Over 400 aircrafts now call the Caldwell Industrial Airport home with enough room for 1,000 more aircraft. All aviation services and fuel are presently available.
  • Tie Down space is available for $3 per day or $15 per month, whichever is most cost effective.
  • Our runway is presently 5,500 feet long by 100 feet wide and our FAA Master Plan calls for an extension that will make it 7,140 feet long.
  • We now have three non precision approaches with our Master Plan calling for a precision approach to be installed.
  • Runway 12-30 and the associated inner and outer taxiways are lighted during all hours of the darkness, with PAPI approach lights, REIL and a 360 degree rotating beacon.
  • Presently we have a terminal building with offices, a pilot's lounge and a popular café. Dine inside the cafe or outside on the deck while watching unique airplanes taxi up and eat some of Carol’s down home food.
  • Plans are in place for a new terminal building. This will house airport offices, a state of the art pilots lounge, car rental, insurance and freight offices and 100 seat café.
