Many of you have seen City crews out trimming trees along the roads of the city. This is so that City crews are able to maintenance to the roads and not damage the trees or the equipment that is used. We appriciate any help that you can give these crews as they take this project on.
This service is provideed to proprty owners of the City at no additional charge. We ask that once to trees are trimmed up to the minimum height by the crews, that you do your part to maintain them there. The City ordinace does require the adjacent proprty owner to maintain the proper hieght over the streets and sidewalks. We hope that in the future that the will be less time involved for the City crews and that we are able to keep this service at no charge. We do thank you for your cooperation in this on going project.
The Forestry Dept. will help the residents of Caldwell with identifying problems that they may be having with trees and shrubs that have on their property. If we are able to offer advise on how to correct the problem, will also assist with that.
This includes proper planting, pruning, fertilizing and insect and disease control.
We will also be glad to help people plant tree in the right-fo-way (with the proper permits and time permiting).
We will also help with identifying trees that are considered to be hazards to people and property.
We are also willing to talk with individuals or groups of people about tree issues. Just contact us by e-mail or phone number on this page.
