DARE/PAL Girl's Night Out 2005: not just bowling at midnight and a big giant sub
Did you know that girls can stay up all night and be hungry every minute? We found that out. We were pleased to see some girls brought their muscial instruments and others brought their voices for hours and hours and hours of karaoke.
We played ping pong in Syringa Middle School's lobby, basketball in the gym, and steal the flag in all the hallways in between.
Thanks to the school for housing us and thanks to all the officers who stopped by through the night to say hi and eat the girls' food. Thanks to the Mary Kay consultant for her advice and samples. Simplot donated lots of delicious food. Paul's Market gave the event two giant sub sandwiches. Not a crumb remined by the break of day.
Burkes Bowl gave the girls soda, chips, and bowling at midnight by disco ball light. It turned out to be a lot of fun.
See you next year.
